Herbivores.

Animals, that just eat plants as their food, are called as herbivores.

Example: Rabbits, Deer, Cow, Panda,etc.

Plant eating Animals.

A giraffe in the image is eating plants, so it is a herbivore.

Some animals eat grass and other plants for food.

These animals do not eat flesh of other animals for food.

They get all the energy from the plants itself.

Do you know what such animals are called?

Such animals, that just eat plants as their food, are called as herbivores.

Elephant. Is a Herbivore.

The elephant also just eats plants as food and is a herbivore.

It is very important to understand that, herbivore just eat plants and carnivores just eat meat.

That is a lion will not eat any plants ever, and an elephant never eats meat.

Deer goes green.

Deers are herbivores.

Deer select easily digestible shoots, young leaves, fresh grasses, soft twigs, fruit, etc for eating.

Hopping Plants.

Grasshoppers are also herbivores.

They're particularly fond of cotton, clover, oats, wheat, corn, alfalfa, rye and barley, but will also consume grasses, weeds, shrubbery, leaves, bark, flowers and seeds.

Remember: Animals, that just eat plants as their food, are called as herbivores.
